Kah (Carina) Abrantes is a Portuguese-based filmmaker born in 2003. With a bachelor's degree in "Digital Games and Multimedia" from Polytechnic of Leiria, Abrantes has a diverse portfolio in the two artistic fields of games and cinema.
Despite her short career, she has already directed and written a few short-films. A stand out from her portfolio is "Lembrança do que uma vez foste", an animation about the inevitable change in human connections over time, portraited by an affectionate relationship between a granddaughter and her grandfather; "Para a minha avó Fernanda", a documentary about her grandmother; and "Serenidade Campestre", a visual essay on rural life.
In addition to that, she has also created several titles as a Game Designer and Game Writer. Some of her work was recognized by PlayStation and IndieDB : "Entrudo", a rhythm game for PC (finalist in the PlayStation® Talents Awards, 2022 and winner in the IndieDB's Top 10 Player's Choice, 2022); and "Nata", a Macao-based adventure for PC (finalist in the Spotlight awards).
